Gary Schmid

Mr. Schmid has significant experience in the field of natural health and nutraceuticals. Prior to joining the organization, he was President and CEO at Santé Naturelle A.G. Limited, international manufacturers and marketers of Quebec's market-leading Adrien Gagnon natural health products. At Santé Naturelle, Mr. Schmid succeeded in developing and implementing strategies to support future growth expectations, which translated into significantly increasing sales in domestic and export business segments, and in the launch of 35 new products within 12 months. In addition, Mr. Schmid spent 20 years at Abbott Laboratories Ltd. in a variety of positions of ever-increasing responsibility in sales and marketing where, in 2005, he was appointed General Manager, Abbott Nutrition.
Denis Garceau
Chief Science Officer
Dr. Denis Garceau directs OVOS Natural Health’s product development program from toxicology to clinical evaluation through regulatory approval of new products.
Dr. Garceau holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Université de Montréal, and he is currently a guest lecturer for the faculty of Pharmacy of Université de Montréal and Université Laval. He is Senior Vice President, Drug Development at BELLUS Health Inc., and has been sitting as a member of the board of directors for Virochem Pharma and BELLUS Health (Innodia) Inc.
Jean-Yves Dionne
Pharmacist
Jean-Yves Dionne is a scientific advisor and natural health products consultant for several companies and professional organizations. He teaches at Université de Montréal and Université Laval. He is a collaborator and scientific reviewer for many publications both in French and English and is the author or co-author of several books including Herbs, Everyday Reference for Health Professionals (CPhA 1999). Mr Dionne also sits on the board of directors of the Natural Health Product Research Society of Canada. His research focus is the interaction between NHPs and pharmaceuticals as well as between conventional medicine and CAM. He is presently involved in a research project on the risk benefit assessment of NHPs.
Chantal Ann Dumas
Naturopath
Chantal Ann Dumas has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine since 1996 and she is known for her scientific approach to health largely inspired by Functional Medicine. After completing her Naturopathic degree following a four-year training program, she is currently studying Medical Anthropology at McGill University.
Besides the tools provided by Naturopathy and Functional Medicine, her therapeutic arsenal includes Body-Mind approaches and Homeopathy. Her private practice within an integrative clinic located in Westmount is oriented towards Women’s global health and Autistic children. Mrs Dumas has been teaching Naturopathic Medicine in different schools since 2002, she acts as a consultant on scientific committees for various nutritional supplements companies and collaborates with the media.
