Overview

VIVIMIND™ is scientifically proven to help support the specific area of the brain known as the hippocampus, a region responsible for memory and learning. The active ingredient homotaurine, is a naturally occurring amino acid.

What is AAMI?

Age associated memory impairment (AAMI) is a common condition characterized by mild memory decline that occurs in many adults as part of the normal aging process. AAMI appears to be highly frequent across different groups of individuals.

How does it work?

VIVIMIND™ is a patented product based on the naturally occurring ingredient homotaurine, which binds to A-beta proteins and reduces the deposition and toxic effects of these proteins in the brain.

Clinical results

Over 18 months Homotaurine reduces the loss of hippocampal volume by 68% compared to placebo. Homotaurine showed a 33% better result in cognitive performance tests (ADAS-cog) vs. placebo at 12 months.

BELLUS Health is actively seeking to expand VIVIMIND™’s commercial reach throughout the world via strategic partnerships. To that end, BELLUS recently formed exclusive distribution partnerships in Canada with Advanced Orthomolecular Research Inc., in Italy with FB Health Inc., in the Middle East with the Agahan Group, in Israel with LevPharm, in Greece with Integris and in Taiwan with Lifenergy. BELLUS is currently in active partnership discussions with several parties for the rights to VIVIMIND™ in other territories.
